Beyonce and Chiwetel Ejiofor to Feature in Lion King

Walt Disney Pictures has decided to remake the 1994 classic Lion King. That animation movie which was set in the plains of Africa will be hitting our screen again come July 2019 in the form called live action. Animals are being used just like before, however, it is so photorealistic that one would think that they are real animals being used.

The 1994 animation movie Lion King was the highest grossing animation when it was released. It grossed over 900 million. However, it is now the fourth highest grossing animation of all time, with Disney’s Frozen taking the number 1 spot.

From what we can see in the teaser trailer which Disney released, the storyline would most likely be the same as that of the original 2d film.  The movie is being directed by Jon Favreau who was also the director behind Jungle Book, that is it the remake.

If this remake proves to be successful, we believe that we would see many more remakes of Walt Disney’s classics.

Beyonce and Chiwetel Ejiofor to Feature in Lion King

Apart from the fact that a lot of the iconic shots from the original are replicated in the movies, all old characters appear to there and there will be one or two new characters.

Beyonce and Chiwetel Ejiofor will be voicing in this CGI movie. American singer and artiste, Beyonce will be voicing Nala, Simba’s playmate and later love interest.  While Chiwetel Ejiofor will be playing Scar. Mufasa’s brother and Simba’s uncle.

James Earl Jones is reprising his role as Mufasa and also he’s the voice of the narrator in the thriller. Other actors who’ ll be here include Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Kani as Rafiki, John Oliver as Zazuu and of course Donald Glover as Simba.

This new CGI remake features more black voice actors than before. It is also estimated that it will gross over a billion dollars in box office. The movie is set to be released in July 2019, and we are sure that Lion King fans can’t wait for it.
