Famed South African Singer AkA Demands Burnaboy’s Apology.
Recently on the social media, two of Africa’s highly respected music artists burna boy and AKA have been on each other’s neck. All this began following the terrible Xenophobic attack in South African against foreigners, Nigerians inclusive.
Famed Nigerian singer Burna Boy had earlier stated in his tweets that he is angry at the way the South Africans are treating Nigerians and other country citizens.
Out of anger, he then shared some controversial tweets on the social media. In his words,he explained –
“Ok. I have been away from social media personally until today. Ordinarily, at a time like this, I should come here and say something to try and calm the situation because my Dream has always been to Unite AFRICA and make us realise that Together we will Literally rule the world…
But Today After watching the Killing of my people in South Africa the same way we have all watched it happen a few times in the past. FUCK ALL THAT! I personally have had my own xenophobic experiences at the hands of South Africans and because of that…..”
Declaring that he will not step his feet in South Africa again, he further stated” I have not set foot in SA since 2017. And I will NOT EVER go to South Africa again for any reason until the SOUTH AFRICAN government wakes the fuck up and really performs A miracle because I don’t know how they can even possibly fix this.
On a twist on events,Burnaboy recently was invited to perform at a peace concert in South Africa and he has shown his willingness to be at the show.
Now, the South African Singer has demanded for an apology from Burnaboy concerning all the tweets he spilled out on the social media against South Africa as a country and against AKA as a South African artiste.
See the tweets of AkA below:
Ek se … @burnaboy
all we want is an apology. We know 🇿🇦 is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it.
On the other hand,
Burna boy has been silent all the while.
