If I Am President Now In Cinemas

All ye lovers of Nollywood, (I’m not saying I’m a hater though), here’s something that you’d really love. The movie “If I am President” has just hit the cinemas. The release does seem apt, looking at the fact that we are just a few months away from the next general elections, with the presidential elections being the height of it all.

The movie tells the story of a young Nigerian, 37-year-old and his compatriots who want to change the story of politics of the country. So the young man runs for president. I kind of pictures the political happenings of our today. Just like with the Not too young to run bill and all of that.

The movie producer Bright Obasi, shared some of his thoughts on the movie “The movie aims to inspire patriotism, stimulate public consciousness around corruption and the effect of bad governance on the populace. It uses entertainment to galvanize citizens’ action against corruption in Nigeria”. T

The movie premiered in Lagos, it will also be premiered in other parts of the world, US, SA, Uk. The movie has been translated into the three major Nigerian languages. The producers are leaving no stone unturned in seeing that it gets to every young person in the country. The movie will also be aired in NYSC orientation camps across the country.

It stars some Nollywood greats such as Joke Silva, Bob Manuel, Ivie Okujaye just to mention a few.
