I’m Probing Kwakwanso – Ganduje

The present governor of Kano stale and APC cheiftaiin in a recent interview has revealed that he has put machinations in place to probe his predecessor, Rabiu Kwankwanso.

Kwankwanso is a major PDP stalwart in the North central and in the North in general. Governor Ganduje is dragging him to EFCC for spending state funds in the 2015 election. The funds were budgeted for the construction of 5km of roads in Kano state.

In 2015 then governor Rabiu Kwakwanso was an APC chieftain, and the general belief is that if he indeed used money for the election, then it was to help APC.  Few months ago also Gov Umar Ganduje was accused of corruption, after he was allegedly caught on tape receiving kickbacks in dollars from contractors. According to investigations, the kickbacks amounted to $5million.

Of course the governor denied it, and when the Kano state house of assembly tried to start a probe against him, he had a court order stop it.

So what exactly are we dealing with here. Is it actually a fight against corruption or a ploy to pull down an opposition chieftain?
